When you are busy addressing the needs of your members, be it helping them apply for a loan, doing a cash withdrawal or even setting up their first account, you don't have time to wonder if their data is safe; you should just know that it is.
To help our credit unions provide state of the art technology solutions both in-house and to their members, as well as meet regulatory requirements of Graham, Leach, Bliley and NCUA's Regulation 748 Act, a network services 'solution' was created.
To build a multilayered protection solution, we first assembled a team built with three technology partners: SecureWorks, Inc. Polivec, Inc. and Qualys, Inc. SecureWorks provides managed firewall and intrusion prevention and reporting services while Polivec provides policy development, enforcement and reporting. Qualys completes the triangle and provides Vulnerability Assessment and reporting. Credit unions can purchase these services directly from each of these providers. However, purchasing through CUsource gives you better cooperative pricing plus the added resources of our technical staff managing the service for you.
Next, we partnered up with another vendor to provide Internet access and IT security for credit unions and small businesses. To add to the initial layers of security, we implemented our Disaster Recovery Services Program. CUsource offers both a Disaster Recovery Phone system and a Co-Location venue for your access.
The Disaster Recovery Phone System provides you with a continuity for your phone services should you suffer an outage. Disaster Recovery Co-Location protects all the layers of security you have in place and your daily work. Our dedicated server room is available to credit unions to take advantage of existing infrastructure to manage your servers, networks and other technology equipment in a controlled environment.
We guarantee regulated power with a generated backup power system, high bandwidth Internet connection, physical and network security, along with 24 x 7 monitoring and full technical support.
It makes sense, to once again, use cooperative advantages to outsource your back up systems to a co-location center keeping costs low and ensuring the quality of service.

Protecting the credit union from the inside is just as important as protecting it from the outside. Web Content Filter is a wonderful program for you to access sites and monitor employee Internet access. CUsource has the ability to filter all incoming and outgoing Internet traffic. Your staff can feel safe knowing that spyware is not an issue, nor is the potential for embarrassing porn and other unwanted images / sites.
